Friends, let I tell you that IGNOU invites applications for the B.Ed course through Entrance Exam in their selected study center every year. The academic qualification , Courses duration , syllabus and  course fees etc as mentioned here.

Educational Qualification to appear B Ed Entrance Exams

Candidates should have graduation with at least 50% marks or a master’s degree in science, social science, commerce ,humanity or engineering degree in science and mathematics with at least 55% marks. 
Employed as a teacher in any recognized school.
Apart from this, the candidate should have diploma in elementary education in Regular Mode. The D.El.Ed. course should be complied by the NCTE or State Government recognized institution.

Period of Course:

The duration of this course is 2 years and maximum of 5 years.

Application fee

If you buy application forms in the counter, then you will get a thousand rupees for application form. If you want to apply the application form by post then you will take one thousand and fifty rupees for the application form.

The complete course fee of this course is 55000 rupees by One – time payment

Selection Process for B.Ed

Enrollment in B Ed in IGNOU is based on entrance exam.

Entrance Examination Pattern and syllabus

Only one question paper of entrance examination will be of 100 marks. This question paper has been divided into two parts.
In the first section Part A, your 80 question will be asked.
 In this Part 10 questions of General English Comprehension will be 10 points.
Section 2, logical and analytical reporting will have 20 marks of 20 questions.
Section 3, It will have 25 questions of 25 marks from Education and General Awareness 
In Section 4 , It will have 25 points will be given for 25 questions related to Teaching Learning the School,
While Part – B is your elective in which you have to select one subject. From Part B 20 marks will be given for 20 questions and the level of the exam questions will be of Class 9-10 of NCERT. or CBSE and there is no negative marking in it.

The IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam consists of two parts, Part A and Part B.

Part A includes multiple choice questions (MCQs) on the following topics:

  • General English
  • Logical and Analytical Reasoning
  • Educational and General Awareness

Part B also includes MCQs but is focused on the following subjects:

  • Teaching-Learning & the School
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Mathematics

Both Part A and Part B are worth 50 marks each, for a total of 100 marks. Candidates have two hours to complete the exam.

It is important to note that the IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam is a computer-based test, meaning that candidates will take the exam on a computer at an authorized test center. Additionally, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
