SBI Probationary Officer Syllabus and Examination Pattern, Selection Process

Are you preparing Probationary Officer in SBI?  SBI has invited application to filling the posts of PO. Organization Name: State Bank of India (SBI)
Name of the Post :  Probationary Officer (PO)
Educational Qualification: Graduation or Equivalent Degree in any discipline from a recognized University, Candidates who are in the Final year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply but result will clear before the time of interview.
Pay Scale: Rs. 23700-42020
 Age Limit: Between 21 – 30 years
Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates:
(I) 3 years in the case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
(ii) 5 years in the case of: (a) SC/ ST candidates. (b) Ex-servicemen
(iii) PWD Category Candidates: 10 year
Nationality:Candidate should be a Citizen of India.
SBI PO Selection Process: SBI PO Selection Process consists of Three Phases:
Phase I. Preliminary Examination
Phase II. Main Examination and
Phase III. Group Exercises & Interview.
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test takes 1 hour duration.

 Phase II: Main Examination
Main Examination (Total 250 marks): Objective Tests (200 marks) and Descriptive Test (50 marks).
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks

 Descriptive Test:  The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay)
Phase III. Group Exercises  & Interview
 Group Exercise: 20 marks
 Interview: 30 marks
Final Selection
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection. Only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in Objective Test and Descriptive Test will be added to the marks obtained in Group Exercise and& Interview (Phase-III) for preparing the final merit list. The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately
